Alexander Mndoyants was born in 1949. He was a student of the famous pianist Bella Davidovich in Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, then he made his post graduate studies in Moscow Gnessin musical-pedagogical institute under the guidance of professor A.Jokheles. In 1977 he became a laureate of the Fifth Van Cliburn International piano competition in USA. After the competition, he began to play concerts in many cities of the USSR and other countries. Besides his concert career, Alexander Mndoyants is also greatly interested in teaching. He has classes in the Central musical school and in the Moscow Conservatory. Among his students, there are more then ten prize-winners of international competitions. He gives master-classes in Japan, Finland. France, Brazil, Taiwan, Portugal, Germany in many cities of Russia. In 1991 he was awarded a title of Honored Artist of Russia. © Classical Records
