Galina Petrova - Russian pianist, soloist and ensemble player. Honored Artist of Russia (2001), winner of the Moscow award in Literature and Art (2003). "Hercreative, brilliant piano mastery combined with nice music skill and artistic charm" ("La voce del popolo"). She got music education at the K. Baiseitova Special Music School (Alma-Ata) and in Moscow State Conservatory, her professors were A. Isakova, V. Merzhanov, T. Gaydamovich. She appeared at many world stages - the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, Big and Small Hall of St.Petersburg Philharmonic, the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia, "Novaya Opera", Moscow International House of Music, Seoul Arts Center (South Korea), Lisinski Concert Hall (Zagreb), Cemal Resit Rey Concert Hall (Istanbul)…,as well as in the central concert halls in cities of Russia, Ukraine, CIS. She has toured more than 30 countres: in South Korea, Japan, USA, Australia, Austria, Germany, Italy, France, Turkey, China, Poland, Croatia, the Balkans, the Baltic States, Vietnam, Brazil, Cuba and others. She participates in major international festivals and cultural events, "Millennium Concert" in the Great Hall of the UN General Assembly (New York, 2000), "Moscow Stars", "Russian Winter", "Talents of Russia", Russia Culture Festivals in different countries. She has performed at international festivals in Chicago, Split, Sorrento, Naples, Melbourne, Havana, Ulaanbaatar, Dubrovnik ... She took part in the festivals like "Stars of the Planet" (Yalta, 2001--2008), "Stars on Baikal" (2004 and 2014), the Festival for the 175th Anniversary of Tchaikovsky in Klin (2015), "Belarusian Autumn" (2015), "Ohrid Summer-2015", "EXPO" Milan, Roma (2015) and others. She has guest appearances with the Academic Symphony Orchestra of St.Petersburg Philharmonic, the Symphony Orchestra "Russian Philharmonic"of Moscow, the Presidential Symphony Orchestra of Turkey (Ankara), the Moscow "Novaya Opera" Symphony Orchestra, Krasnoyarsk Academic Symphony Orchestra, OSPA (Brasil), symphony orchestras in Poland, Kazakhstan, Croatia. She appeared with the Chamber Orchestra of the Vatican, "Hanoi Ensemble" (Vietnam), "Virtuosos of Russia", the Association of Tchaikovsky Competition and others. The pianist isconstantly performed with the Zagreb Chamber Orchestra, is a regular soloist with the annual International Chamber Festival "Musica Maxima" (Zagreb). She has performed with such conductors as A. Rahbari, Jose Mario Florence, S. Roldugin, M. Fedotov, P. Gribanov, M. Kadin, A. Polishchuk … The pianist recorded a number of CDs - "DML-Classic", "Naxos", "Classical Records", "Gold Club" and others. She conducts master classes in South Korea, Japan, Croatia, and Australia. In 2001 she was elected anassociated member of Petrovskaya Academy of Sciences and Arts (PASA) in St. Petersburg. "Galina Petrova sounded rich and powerful than any other band ..." ("New Petersburg", 2011) "Many famous pianists would envy her wonderful sound,its rubato and mastery of voicing..." ("Tomorrow", 2015) She is a regular partner of the violinist People's Artist of Russia Maxim Fedotov, since she played in duet Maxim Fedotov - Galina Petrova starting from 1992. Duet "Fedotov-Petrova" critics have called one of the most harmonious ensembles of our time. The duet's distinctivestyle, dynamics, and the new "exclusive" repertoire expanded the boundaries of ideas about the genre. "Musicians with blood of a tiger", "The best Moscow duet" ("Nezavisimaya Gazeta") "Brilliant Russian virtuosos" ("Nice Matin") In 2014-2015 G.Petrova and M. Fedotov participated in the series of performances of "Juliet" ("Romeo and Juliet" by Tchaikovsky transcription by A. Isakova, especially for M. Fedotova and G. Petrova), staged by Luciano Konnito for the Rome Ballet. They appeared in Moscow, Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theatre, and the Rome Opera. "...
