The Fourth International Scriabin piano competition was held on January 26 - February 4, 2008 in Moscow, in the Great Hall and Maly Hall of the Moscow Conservatoire. 18 musicians from Russia, France, and Japan took part in the Competition. The members of the jury were: professor of the Moscow Conservatoire Mikhail Voskressensky (President), professor of the Moscow Conservatoire Andrei Diev, the pianist and composer Marcello Abbado (Italy), prize-winner of international competitions Eugen Indjic (France), professor of Berlin University of Arts Elena Lapitskaya (Germany), professor of Madrid Royal Conservatoire Joaquin Soriano (Spain), professor of University of Music in Vienna Noel Flores (Austria), professor of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music Geidai Haruhi Hata (Japan), Director of festivals and competitions Department of International Music Union, President of the Scriabin Foundation Alexander S. Scriabin (executive secretary). The competition was held thanks to the organizing and financial support of Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatoire, POLUS GOLD Company, AG CAPITAL. The Competition also received great help from Mariott-Courtyard Hotel, Polish Culture Institution in Moscow, Republic of Croatia Embassy in Moscow and Ascent Travel Company, Lira Music Shop and Gallery, Korkunov Ltd, Shekma-Gzhel Ltd, and many other organizations and companies that founded prizes and provided presents for the participants and winners of the competition. Important support was given by Kultura TV Channel, ITAR TASS, and Tourne Agency.

1st prize Georgy Voylochnikov Russia
Born on March 8, 1985. ΐ student of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatoire in the class of S. Igolinsky.

2nd prize Alexey Chernov Russia
Born on August 26, 1982. Graduated from the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatoire where he studied under professor Natalia Trull.

3rd prize Dmitri Karpov Russia
Born on July 3, 1976. Graduated from the Novossibirsk State Glinka Conservatoire where he studied under professor M. Lebenson. A soloist of the Novossibirsk Philharmonic society.

4th prize Artyom Abashev Russia
Born on March 18, 1983. Graduated from the Kazan State Conservatoire where he studied under V. Shlemov and E. Burnasheva.

5th prize Daniil Trifonov Russia
Born on March 5, 1991. Studies at Gnessin Special Music School (college) in Moscow in the class of T. Zelikman.

6th prize Inna Korneeva Russia
Born on February 8, 1985. A student of the Gnessin Academy of Music in the class of professor V. Tropp.
